Read Chapters 16-19 (aka finish Part 2 of the novel) over the break. You must continue to:
  • Work on your theme trackers. Part two introduces white Europeans into the story and is very important to certain themes. See the theme topics listed below:
    • Respect + Reputation
    • Religion
    • Masculinity
    • Igbo Society Complexity
    • Tradition vs. Change
    • Clash of Cultures
  • Continue completing your reading journals (you will need a total of 15!)
  • There will be a QUIZ on these chapters when we return from break…so don’t slack!

***WE WILL FINISH OUT GROUP MASTERY WORK PROJECT ON THE MONDAY WE RETURN FROM BREAK...THIS WILL BE THE LAST DAY TO WORK ON THE MASTERY! BE SURE TO HAVE ALL OF YOUR INFORMATION READY TO GO***

FOR A BLOCK:
If you have frequently missed A-Block and have not had an opportunity to work in a group on the Mastery you have two options:
  1. Link up with another A block student who is chronically absent and work on the mastery together.
  2. Complete the Mastery work on your own.
  3. Please reach out to me on REMIND to get your chapter assignments.

Please see below for more information on how to complete your theme trackers and the mastery work assignment.
