If you did not do so today in class, please finish reading Chapter 6 of Animal Farm for homework and be sure to answer the Stop & Jot questions in your notebooks!
  1. Who is the hardest working animal on the farm? Why?
  2. How does Squealer explain that it is not against the Seven Commandments for pigs to sleep in beds?
  3. How is Snowball a scapegoat (person who takes blame for the actions of another) in this chapter?
  4. How do you think the windmill was destroyed?

  • Draw a picture of your animal w/ its name
  • Characterize your animal (choose adjectives that describe him/her)
  • Support your characterization with analysis and text evidence.
  •  **BONUS credit for coloring your image.
