9/21/2018

0 Comments

Due Monday 9/24

YOUR INDEPENDENT TASK:
Write 2 short paragraphs proving how EACH of the two quotes you contributed to your group’s poster fits into its stage in Junior’s Hero’s Journey (one paragraph for each of the two stages + two quotes you contributed to your group).

  1. Your CLAIM: 1-2 sentences introducing the place, person, or event that you’ve identified as being part of this particular stage.
  2. CONTEXT: Use one of the methods we went over in class to appropriately contextualize the quote. Think about what your reader will need to know to understand the quote.
  3. QUOTE: remember to use quotation marks and a citation (author's last name + page #)
  4. EXPLANATION: using your notes on the Hero’s Journey stages, explain how this quote shows Junior experiencing one particular stage of the Hero’s Journey.

Please complete the independent portion of your Hero's Journey project over the weekend. Your grade for the project is broken down as follows:
  • Hero's Journey Poster --> 50%
  • Mini-Paragraphs --> 40%
  • Group + Self Reflection --> 10%
