Characterization in "Haroun and the Sea of Stories"

10/20/2016

Pick one of the following characters: Haroun, Rashid, Soraya, Mr. Sengupta, or Ms. Oneeta.

Find descriptions about the character of your choice that represents two different methods of indirect characterization. Use text evidence. Then draw a conclusion about the character’s personality.

Methods of Indirect Characterization:

Speech (What does the character say?)
Thoughts (What does the character think?)
Effect on others (How do others react to/interact with the character?)
Actions (What does the character do?)
Looks (What does the character look like?)

Check out the example below. You can complete the work like a chart, or in a paragraph format.
